Time to leave this beautiful town

The evening view of Mt Fuji from my town

I have known it for 1 year, that I have to leave this town in March, though I didn't want to think about it. It was extremely warm this winter, we had least snow, our life was so easy and many people say they like it, but I don't. Usually it is severely cold here, everything gets frozen and look sharp in dry and clear air. Usually in winter, I sometimes feel pain on my ears or cheeks while walking, but I didn't hate it. Shoveling snow is hard work but I love snow. Withered trees covered with snow, the sound of the snow when I step on it, we can see our breath, silver ridge of Yatsugatake right in front of us, I loved every sign of winter. So I wanted the last winter in this town to be bracing cold, I have liked it. Unfortunately, without feeling that, the winter is almost over, spring is coming, and it is time for me to leave this beautiful town. A lot of great memories with nice people. I haven't noticed how much I love my life here; beautiful scenery, funny colleagues, interesting school life, cozy apartment, my garden, various onsens, great nature, etc. From April I'll start my new life in a town 50 kms south from here.

Kimiko! its been so long since I've talked with you. I have been looking at your blog, but its not enough is it! I promise to sit down and write a long email one day soon. Where are you moving to? You must be sad to leave Fujimi. Please say hello to everyone there for me. Are the cherry blossoms out there yet? Here they are, but it won't stop raining so no hanami so far....

Kimiko,

I wanted to leave a message on your post forever, but I'm never on my own computer and couldn't recommend my blogger sign-in info. Anyhow, where are you moving?

I hope you are doing well. It's a cold spring day here in Vancouver.
