spring cooking

I picked yomogi, or Japanese mugwort, from my garden and made kusamochi.The flavour was so good.

庭のよもぎを摘んで、草餅を作りました。今年はこれで3回目。春の香りです。

I love mochi! but never tried kusa-mochi, what's the filling? red bean paste?
