１２月８日

この日が何の日かというと、ある世代にとっては開戦記念日であり、ある人にとってはJohn Lennonが殺された日であるようです。同僚のある男性は、John Lennonが死んだ日のことを克明に記憶しており、そこからその当時の学生生活を、甘く切ない感傷を持って思い出すのだと言いました。今日という日に、その同僚は当時付き合っていた恋人の話などを懐かしげにしてくれたのでした。私は１２月８日に特に思い出はないけれど、人の青春の思い出話を聞くのは、なかなか良いものでした。何か素敵な日々を思い出せる日が１年に１度くらいあるのっていいなぁ、と思います。
For some people December 8th is the day Japan attacked pearl harbor, for some people it is the day Johh Lennon was shot. On this day, one of my colleagues remembers his younger days, when he bought a new-released record by John Lennon. He said he became nostalgic on Dec 8th. Today, he started talking about his girlfriend in those days. I don't have any special feeling on December 8th, but it was nice to listen to other's good memories. On what day of the year am I nostalgic? I don't know.
