ミチコさんありがとう

Yesterday was a special day; we went to a concert of an impressionist, Michiko Shimizu. I think highly of her as a musician as well as a comedian. She does impressions of famous people; politicians, musicians, TV personalities, actors or actress, sometimes animals. Not only mimicking their voices, she writes some funny songs on her own mimicking the style of their music.
We’d been looking forward to the concert very much, and had been curious about what kind of people would come to that concert. What generation? With whom? In the hall,we found various people from various generations, whom we couldn’t categorize. A lot of middle aged couples. Some old women with silver hair whose back was bent with age. Mothers with children.. Men in suits. Beautiful young ladies. Ordinary women like us. Something common between the audience was maybe they were a little conservative ― I didn’t find any showy people. I was wondering about what kind of people come to like her, and couldn’t stop stretching my imagination how they had decided to come to the concert or how and who had booked the ticket (for those old women).
The concert was so fun! From the beginning to the end, we laughed a lot and had a great time. One thing I convinced was that her gags were not easy to understand for stupid people. Thank you Micchan, please come again.
清水ミチコのコンサートに行った。私は彼女が作る「○○の勝手に新曲」というのが大好きで、曲調も声も本人に酷似しているのがおかしくてたまらない。あれを生で聞けるなんて！ずっと楽しみにしていたが、客層はどんな感じなんだろう？ということも気になっていた。さて会場には、コンサートの多くがそうであるように女性が多い。でもそれ以上はこれといって傾向らしい共通点がない。中年の夫婦が結構たくさんいたり、腰の曲がったおばあさん（しかも１人）とか、子連れのお母さんとか、スーツのサラリーマン風の人とか、若い綺麗なお姉さんとか、あとはごく普通の私達みたいな人。しいて言うなら、地味？そういえば派手な感じの人は見かけなかった。この夫婦はどんな会話をしてコンサートに来ることを決めたんだろう？　あのおばあちゃんはどうやってチケットを取ったんだろう？　など、想像をふくらませていくとキリがない。開演前の注意アナウンスも本人で、すでに会場にはくすくす笑いがあふれた。オープニングはライス国務長官。「今日は百人以上やります。絶対損はさせません」という彼女の言葉どおり、最初から最後まで笑いっぱなしの２時間半でした。最後のアンコールはアラビア語の歌で、会場に「ターリ！」という掛け声を求める彼女に、オーディエンスは完敗でした。すごすぎる。当日券も出てたから、チケットは完売しなかったんだな。もったいない、あんなに面白いのに。楽しかったよ、みっちゃん。また来てね。
